Is Defender, Desecticide and Torched safe for honey bees?
Defender and Desecticide will kill honey bees if they are contacted directly. Any pollinator or flying insect will likely die if they are sprayed directly. You do not need to be concerned with honey bees and other pollinators when you are treating the landscape in general. The bees will fly away from the area as they can quickly detect the essential oils.
The oils will dry very quickly and will become harmless to the bees. The bees will understand this and return. We also put Geraniol in our products. Geraniol is proven to attract pollinators. Therefore you get great results with undesirable insects dying and pollinators being attracted back to the area.
