Always start by diluting Desecticide. Start with the water first, and then add in Desecticide. If you add the water to the Desecticide, you will have foam. There is no need for agitation. Simply mix and spray!
For commercial poultry growers, mix 1 gallon of Desecticide with 10 gallons of water to cover 5,000 sq. ft. For a 20,000 square foot house, mix 4 gallons of product with 40 gallons of water.
For backyard or small scale applications, mix 6 oz. of Desecticide with a ½ gallon of water to cover 250 square feet.
Since Desecticide kills on contact, you can apply it whenever you begin to see a pest problem, like nymphs or eggs. Reapply Desecticide whenever bugs are present.
Desecticide is highly effective and yet completely non-toxic for humans and flocks. This insecticide uses breakthrough technology to target neurological receptors active only in insects and arthropods to kill resistant darkling beetles, lesser mealworms, bed bugs, mites, fleas and ticks on chickens, ducks and turkey, without the use of toxic chemicals. It is proven effective and safe to use in poultry facilities, even when birds are present.
There is no re-entry wait time or re-application limit, and it is safe for the environment. Desecticide significantly outperforms the competition and is less expensive to use than the leading brand. Beetles have become resistant to the current pesticides, requiring constant pesticide rotation. But, with Desecticide, bugs do not build resistance, and it can be used at any point during grow-out.

Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant and are non water-based phytochemical made up of volatile aromatic compounds. Although they are fat soluble, they do not include fatty lipids or acids found in vegetable and animal oils, so they are very clean, almost crisp, to the touch and are immediately absorbed by the skin. Pure, unadulterated essential oils are translucent and range in color from crystal clear to deep blue. They are usually prepared by techniques such as steam distillation, cold pressing or solvent extraction. We use essential oils in Desecticide, Defender, Grower's Blend and SO Essentials Insect Repellent.
Yes, Desect is made with an essential oil blend that is safe to use around birds. If needed, it can be directly sprayed on birds to kill mites.
Defender and Desecticide will kill honey bees if they are contacted directly. Any pollinator or flying insect will likely die if they are sprayed directly. You do not need to be concerned with honey bees and other pollinators when you are treating the landscape in general. The bees will fly away from the area as they can quickly detect the essential oils. The oils will dry very quickly and will become harmless to the bees. The bees will understand this and return. We also put Geraniol in our products. Geraniol is proven to attract pollinators. Therefore you get great results with undesirable insects dying and pollinators being attracted back to the area.
